Daphne Ayers
Region 19 Director
Ayers, an experienced clinician with a demonstrated history of working in the health wellness and fitness industry, has dedicated her professional life to helping those in drug dependence treatment and recovery. Ayers is skilled as an alcohol or other drugs (AoD) clinical trainer, with experience in peer support supervision, crisis intervention, case management, dual diagnosis, public speaking, and mental health counseling. She is an independent licensed social worker with a master’s in social work. Currently a jail recovery services coordinator, Ayers has spent her almost two-decade-long behavioral health career working with the substance use disorder and criminal justice population. A graduate of the University of Akron, Ayers is married with four adult children, and her hobbies include being a foodie, riding motorcycles, mushrooming, chicken farming, working out, hiking, and doing just about anything outdoors.
As a person with twenty-plus years in active recovery, Ayers says she understands the challenges posed by the opioid epidemic and is looking forward to using her experience to help amplify OneOhio’s message and mission.
