Judy Dodge
Region 8 Director
Dodge, a longtime Montgomery County commissioner, has spent her professional life trying to improve people’s lives in southwestern Ohio, particularly its most vulnerable residents. She established the Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition and since 2010 has chaired the Food Summit, a gathering that addresses food insecurity in the community. Dodge also co-developed a regional sustainability center, now known as Dayton Regional Green, which focuses on energy reduction and green practices in the business, government, and residential sectors. Dodge has served on several community boards and commissions including the Dayton Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Miami Valley Fair Housing Center, and the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery Board, and sat on committees for both the County Commissioners Association of Ohio and the National Association of Counties. A graduate of Wright State University, Dodge lives in Vandalia and has two children and three grandchildren.
Dodge sees her service on the board as a chance to help Montgomery County residents lead healthy lives free from the stigma of addiction: “In 2015 and 2016 we were the second highest in leading the nation in overdoses. Today we are making great strides in reducing the number of overdoses. We still have a long way to go.”
