IRS Designates OneOhio Recovery Foundation as 501(c)(3)

Decision Confirms the Foundation’s Position as a Non-Government Entity

The Internal Revenue Service has granted the OneOhio Recovery Foundation tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The designation applies retroactively, with an effective date of December 3, 2021.

“We were confident this designation would be granted, and we’re pleased the Foundation may continue to operate as a nonprofit entity as agreed to in the OneOhio MOU,” said OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board Chair Larry Kidd. “The board of directors understands the Foundation supports a broader public mission, and we will continue to operate as arguably the most transparent nonprofit organization in the state of Ohio.”
