Robert Radcliff

Statewide Board Director - Appointed By Gov. Mike DeWine

Radcliff, currently a court bailiff and reserve deputy sheriff in Pickaway County, is a veteran law enforcement professional with more than 40 years of service, including holding the position of elected sheriff in Pickaway County, a job also held by his father and grandfather. Growing up around the county jail, Radcliff gained insights into problems faced by the incarcerated and came to believe many were victims of their environments. Radcliff is a 1981 Graduate of the Lancaster Police Academy, the 2013 Ohio Sheriff’s Basic Training Course, and a 2014 Graduate of the National Sheriff’s Institute in Aurora, Colorado.  He is a founding member of the Pickaway Addiction Action Coalition and has served on numerous other boards. As sheriff, he adopted innovative practices such as providing peer support and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to jail inmates. Radcliff and his wife, Dorethe, are the parents of four children and are also proud grandparents.

Radcliff sees his service on the board as a chance to make a difference in the lives of people facing addiction: “Since the epidemic began, I have seen families torn apart, grandparents raising their grandchildren and employers struggling to find employees.”
