JAMES WHITE
Statewide Board Director - Appointed By Gov. Mike DeWine
A veteran investment adviser, White has spent his career in a variety of management and business development positions. Currently at Morgan Stanley, White and his two partners have been recognized by Forbes as one of Ohio’s leading wealth management teams. White’s previous positions include managing the distribution programs for Pepsi-Cola’s fountain beverage business and heading up business development for Atlanta-based Covendis Technologies, a business-to-business start-up software company. White also serves on the board of The White Family Companies, a fifth-generation, family-owned business that owns and operates twenty-five car dealerships in Ohio, Kentucky, South Dakota, and Wyoming. White has also served on the boards of Recreation Unlimited (a residential overnight camp for children with disabilities); CCYHA (a Columbus youth hockey organization); and the Toledo Walleye, a professional hockey team. A native of Toledo now living in Columbus, White attended Colgate University where he played hockey on championship teams, and later played pro hockey in Europe for a year.
White shares that his wife lost a cousin to addiction and so the issues facing the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board, which he’s honored to join, hit close to home.
