Grant Award Wednesday - New Grant Awards Announced!
Today the OneOhio Recovery Foundation announced its final grant awards for the 2024 Regional Grant Cycle, awarding $3.4 million to seven projects, all of which fund youth-focused prevention initiatives and supports for children and families impacted by substance use disorder.
“Investing in supportive services for children and families affected by addiction isn’t just compassionate—it’s essential. Healing starts with stability, and every resource we provide strengthens the foundation for recovery, resilience, and brighter futures,” said Alisha Nelson, OneOhio executive director. “These final seven grant awards represent just a portion of the significant resources made available for children and families in our earlier grant announcements. While there is still much work to be done, I’m proud of OneOhio’s commitment to helping those most directly impacted by the opioid epidemic and look forward to supporting more innovative initiatives in the future.”
New OneOhio Grantees:
These seven final grant awards are part of more than $45.4 million awarded in the 2024 Regional Grant Cycle and were selected from 1,442 funding requests totaling $581 million from organizations statewide. Grantees were chosen in a collaborative process that included input from the OneOhio Regions, Expert Panel, Grant Oversight Committee and Board of Directors.
The OneOhio Recovery Foundation’s Board of Directors has given preliminary approval for a small number of additional grant awards. This approval authorizes Foundation staff to negotiate grant agreements with recipient organizations, and awards are publicly announced once grantee organizations complete the grant verification process.
